The Scottish Ironwork Foundation was established in 2002 and is dedicated to researching, recording and promoting an interest in Architectural & Sanitary ironwork, in particular that produced by Scottish companies during the Victorian and Edwardian periods, and other historic ironwork found in Scotland.
For a number of years the S.I.F website www.scottishironwork.org provided a comprehensive database of Scottish ironwork heritage items located around the world, including many drinking fountains. Circa 2010, unauthorized access by a hacker necessitated its removal from the web. In 2015, a rebuild of the website is underway and will be available in the near future. Information and data can meanwhile be found on the Facebook page, The Scottish Ironwork Foundation.
I would personally like to thank John P. Bolton for his invaluable assistance and interest in my blog.
